The location of Astris, also known as Astrida in modern Greek, is placed in Southern Thassos. It is about twenty kilometers from Kinira and only five from Potos. Fulfilled with Olive trees, that gradually replaced the viticulture (grape-growing) of which was created in the past the famous «Thassisan Wine». These olive-tree fields are nowadays produce the also famous Thassisn olive-oil. Astris, has its own beaches. Agios Vasilios is in the hart of it, but also very close is the beach of Agia Paraskevi. Agios Vasilios is a very popular beach, having oprtunities as taverns, market, etc. Now, for the most adventurous of you, really colse, in the small cape of "Salonikios" you'll find the homonym virgin beach, as well as many others, but we shouldn't mention them, because they'll loose their magic.
